LAURA BOLLINGER has been a resident of Kona since 1976. She is originally from Northern California and attended Eugene Bible College. She came to the Big Island as Lead Singer in the Rock 'N Roll Band "BREEZIN", then settled down to raise her family in Kona. Later she became the Vocalist for the Bill Nobel Trio, performing at The Mauna Lani Beach Hotel. She has served as Master of Ceremonies, talent and pageant judge, has hosted, performed at, and produced numerous community charitable and professional events for over 25 years. After starring in, directing and producing plays locally, Laura worked on major Motion Pictures, Television Shows, and Commercials on the Big Island as Talent, Agent and Casting Director. She has owned and operated her Entertainment Business, Encore Talent Agency, for over 20 years and represents hundreds of talented Hawaii residents. Read more about Laura.
SHEILA COLON casting assistant / photographer, has been a resident of Kona since 1972. Originally from Southern California, she settled in Hawaii, married, raised her daughter, and managed a local Supermarket for 19 years. Sheila and Laura met in 1998 as volunteers for the American Heart Association, where they specialized in fund raising events. Sheila has been Laura’s assistant at Encore Talent Agency and Big Island Casting ever since. Her interest and skill in photography made her a natural match up in casting Talent, and what started out as a hobby, turned into her profession as a photographer. And Sheila’s talents don’t end there, she is also on the production staff of the nationally syndicated "Cookin With Cutty" show, assisting in all aspects of production including set design, still shots, videography and creating shot lists. Her production skills have earned her a highly sought after island advertising industry "Pele Award".
